Dr James Tan is a highly experienced Sports Surgeon and industry Key Opinion Leader with 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. A founding member of the S'pore Shoulder & Elbow Society and a member of the Asian Shoulder & Elbow Group, he has treated athletes from S'pore National Senior and Youth Teams and professional footballers from S'pore Premier League clubs. His expertise is much sought after and he has instructed at many workshops and seminars in Singapore, South East Asia, China, South Korea and India.
Dr. Claus Rettig is the regional president of Evonik Asia Pacific since July 1 st, 2022. As a member of the extended executive board of Evonik Industries AG with general power of attorney, Dr. Rettig is responsible for driving the company's growth plan in Asia and making sure that Evonik is present on the ground with modern production and a strong research and development footprint.
Daniel Tay is VP of the Emerging Technology group at Temasek, where he focuses on deep tech investments in Materials and Energy Transition Technologies. His investment portfolio covers critical areas such as next-generation batteries, green steel production, next-gen solar photovoltaics, plastic recycling, AI for Materials Discovery and carbon capture technologies. Daniel earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the National University of Singapore and furthered his academic journey with a post-doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences at A*STAR.
Mr Steve Lee Hee Kwang is the Chief Information Officer of Singapore Power Limited. He is also a director of Singapore District Cooling Limited. He leads a team that is responsible for planning and implementing the overall IT strategy and operational technology projects of the Group, as well as ensuring robustness of the Group’s corporate security systems.
A/Prof Cher Heng Tan graduated with MBBS (Singapore) and FRCR (UK). He completed his Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and holds an Executive MBA from Insead. He is presently Senior Consultant with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Assistant Chairman Medical Board at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is concurrently Group Chief, Research and Innovation for NHG Health and Assistant Dean (Clinical Research) for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Professor Reginald B.H. TAN is Executive Director at the Science and Engineering Research Council at A*STAR, and concurrently Professor at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore.
Dr Shawn Vasoo is the Executive Director of the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), and a Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases at NCID and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He graduated from the National University of Singapore, completed residency training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, followed by fellowships in Clinical Microbiology and Orthopaedic ID at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr Carl Firth is Partner at Panacea Venture, a global investment fund focused on healthcare. Previously, Carl was CEO and founder of ASLAN Pharmaceuticals, a NASDAQ-listed clinical stage biotech, which he took public in 2018 and raised over $300M from leading global investors.
Prior to founding ASLAN, Carl was Head of Asia Healthcare at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, supporting public and private financing of healthcare companies and advising on M&A transactions. Before joining the banking industry, he worked for AstraZeneca across various commercial and R&D roles.
